Sam's Bridge Plaque
at Western University
Located on the West Brough's Bridge on Richmond St. at the north end of Western University in London, Ontario. This plaque with flowers and locks was installed by Sam's family and friends to memorialize the spot where he lost his life in the early morning of October 24, 2018. The locks are signed those of us present at the ceremony. We hope it will remain a permanent memorial to Sam and his time at Western.
Sam's Grave
at Mount Pleasant Cemetery
Sam's final resting place is in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto. He has a beautiful place in the shade of a large tree. The grave is a short walk from Sam's home. Mom, Dad, Naomi and Will visit often and tend to the grass. The headstone was unveiled Monday April 27, 2020 on what would have been Sam's 20th birthday. Only the four of us were allowed in to hold the unveiling ceremony, due to the COVID pandemic. Family and friends joined us virtually via Zoom. Carved into the headstone are images celebrating Sam's life: A rose; a ruby ball, Chester our pet parrot; the comedy and tragedy masks representing his love of acting and a pair of Nike Air Max's, signifying his love of shoes.
